World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The item upgrade feature lets players upgrade their existing equipment. This can be done by any upgrader for items NPC.

Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the ones they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness.
Most utility items increase an individual combat ability or give the player a kind of advantage when it comes to navigation. For example, Sharpening stones made by the Weaponsmith increase Power and Ferocity and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman boost Concentration and Healing Power. Other items that are useful can be used by the player to boost Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can equip a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Eventually, an additional slot can be obtained by acquiring certain types of armor or by completing engineering, research or other projects in the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be obtained by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This enables players to use an Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade is kept in the main slot.
