Path of Exile Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a fantastic source of damage or more AD or even more affixes.
Sometimes, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is often surpassed by Rare-grade gear because of their requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both weapon and armor items. They boost the performance of the item they're connected to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and purchased from Blacksmiths on bonfires. Alternately, they can be rescued from items with upgrade components within them by with a professional or higher salvage kit.
The amount of damage that a piece of armor or weapon is able to absorb is dependent on the degree of upgrades. The upgrade of an armor piece to maximum upgrade level will increase the damage it absorbs. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, so it must be more heavy.

Weapons
Weapon upgrades allow players to improve the effectiveness of certain aspects of an weapon. Upgrades can increase the accuracy of a rifle or the damage that shotgun shells do. Some weapons also have special upgrades that improve their innate capabilities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, reduces the risk of weapon overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's speed for greater damage) are two examples.
Most weapon upgrades require three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons, and a whetblade for applying. They can be gained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of monsters and bosses.
To upgrade an equipment set, weapon piece or Whetblade You must go to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee of a certain amount of bars. To increase their level faster, most players will prioritise upgrading their weapons. Jewels

The Jeweler is able to create the highest levels of gems with the exception of rare and legendary ones that you must be at certain levels to gain. In contrast to other upgrade components, jewels are able to be swapped with a jewel of the same kind without damaging the original one. However it is only possible to replace one jewel in a piece of equipment only once.
Utilizing more jewels in a movement can make it feel more comfortable, and is often performed to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. The jewels can also enhance performance and create a surface harder than metal so that repeated friction from pivots do not cause damage to the movement.
A Glyphmaster can offer glyphs to improve the appearance of your weapons and shields. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be freely exchanged, however they're not guaranteed to appear as loot. Glyphs are upgradeable, as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold and a scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be taken out and returned to the inventory. Trinkets
Trinkets are items of equipment that provide a wide range of tiny but valuable advantages to your hero. They are available in the start-up area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They can also be obtained through vendors and after the completion of road interactions. They can also be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.
The first trinket a player can unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny, but useful bonus in speed of movement and evasion. The player will then be able to acquire necklaces, amulets, and rings in a similar fashion as they did with weapons and armor. item upgrading of gear comes with one upgrade slot that can accept either a universal or a jewel upgrade.
