The item upgrade system lets players improve the stats of trinkets, armors and weapons. It also provides some unique procs and effects.
Most upgrades increment stats linearly. For instance, a level 20 Muscle Band will give an additional attack, and +.5% attack speed. The system also has the potential to fail, which will consume all upgrading materials.
Glyphs

The glyph of Nilrend, for example, has a high probability of negating an order marker on an opponent's card, which gives players a slight advantage in the beginning. However, the impact of this glyph fades progressively as more units are brought onto the board and the odds of having a unit wiped out decreases.
Other glyphs could directly impact map control. For example the glyph Valda increases the range of all ranged units by 1, which is an impressive increase for units that often struggle with slow movement rates (such as the Marro Stinger line or 4th Massachusetts). In addition to these units, this glyph works well with melee units that might have trouble getting into the proper position to deal damage.

Once they have created the custom glyph set players can look it up in the Glyphs panel menu by selecting View Glyph Set and then selecting the name of the set of glyphs.
Growthstones
These items are similar to berries in that they permanently boost your abilities. However, unlike berries, they do not increase your HP. You can obtain Growth Stones through completing certain tasks in the game or by combing two of them in the Nitro Cube. You can also get them as rewards during the Ancient Arena Season.
You can apply them to your weapon or armor using the equipment Enchanting option. You can also make them in major towns by visiting different NPCs using the correct recipe. There are many different kinds of Growth Materials and each can be used for various reasons. Weapon Growth Stones can be used to improve weapons, whereas Armor Growth Stones can be used to upgrade armor. Active Skill Growth Books, and Passive Skill Growth Books can be used to improve active or passive skills.
These stones resonate with certain human qualities within you to make them stronger. They don't make you a better or more different person but they give you the extra internal boost to confront and tackle the aspects of your personality you want to change. It is your responsibility to make any real internal change yourself by changing your attitude towards the thing you wish to change. This is the key to understanding the difference between external and internal growth. For instance, moss-agate increases the quality of success and abundance, while lapis lazuli enhances the quality of self-awareness and truthfulness.
Item Enhancers
Item Enhancers allow players to enhance their Held Items to give them an increase in stats or other effects that they then pass onto their Pokemon during games. These items are extremely helpful in advancing the ranks of ranked games. This is particularly relevant for players with high levels. The cost of upgrading these equipments is a major barrier to advancement.
A player can obtain Item Enhancers in a variety of ways, including the free rewards for leveling up their Trainer, missions and challenges, or even from the Energy Reward Machine. The premium version of the game comes with a greater amount of Item Enhancers as rewards. However, many players will need to work to get these items.
Pokemon Unite has recently introduced an entirely new type of item called Super Item Enhancers. item upgrades let players increase the level of their Held Items to the level of 30. Most items increase their stats in a linear fashion as they are upgraded, but the final stat of a Held Item can be more than double its initial value after it has at its maximum. For example, a Muscle Band's attack and defense stats are increased by +1 each time it is upgraded up to level 2, and at 20 it will have +15 attack and +7.5% speed.
These Item Enhancers are expensive however they are essential for anyone who wishes their performance to be boosted in Pokemon Unite. It is a major pain to get all the Held Items upgraded to their maximum, but those who are patient and committed will eventually succeed.
